About us:

Our purpose is to give voice to refugee stories, honor their lives, and raise awareness of the millions of refugees in the world who have been forced to flee their homes. The World Refugee Day Chicago committee comes together each year on or around June 20 to recognize refugees' journeys to their new homes through celebration and education. We are comprised of staff, volunteers and interested persons from various nonprofits focused on welcoming and serving refugees.
